Grazing and Feeding Strategies - GHGMP
Project Objectives
- to demonstrate how enhancing pastures & grazing management systems can improve productivity, profitability and reduce GHG emissions.
- to compliment forage nutrient management project's activities by enabling linkages to animal feed quality and yield monitoring in terms of animal weight gain.
- to implement a package of extension activities. to share information about the mitigation of greenhouse as through good management practices in beef production systems.
Progress and Comments
- funding approved for 2 years starting July 2004.
- setting up 3 demos of grazing & feeding management.
- Organized 2 feeding strategies in the fall of 2004.
